It's a sad moment for the family and friends of Joseph Ashefel, a legal practitioner who reportedly died yesterday, 10th April, 2018 in Abuja. The lawyer was said to have just slumped and died at Phase IV, High Court Kubwa. The deceased who was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2003, was from Cross Rivers state and a graduate of the University of Calabar.
The Catholic Archbishop of Abuja, John Cardinal Onaiyekan, says it is worrisome that the older generation is refusing to leave the scene for the younger generation. Onaiyekan, who is a former President of the Christian Association of Nigeria, said this at the presentation of a book titled, ‘Dignity in Service,’ authored by the late Dr. Matthew Mbu, a former Minister of Foreign Affairs.
